TD Roadside Assistance Service
Here are some of the member perks of the TD Roadside Assistance Service
1. Lockout Service
If you accidentally lock your car keys inside your vehicle, you can request TD Auto Club to send a locksmith to unlock your car. Alternatively, you can reach out to a Service Facility that is located within a 20-kilometre radius of your car for free.
You will be responsible for any damage caused to the car while attempting entry.
If your vehicle has a trunk, please note that you must access it through the passenger compartment. Please be aware that you are responsible for the cost of keys required for Lockout Services.
If you are unable to reach TD Auto Club, it is possible to select your preferred locksmith and have them complete the work. Then, you can submit a claim for reimbursement of up to $50 per call. TD Auto Club will determine and approve the reimbursement amount.
2. Breakdown Towing
If your vehicle stops working and cannot move on its own, TD Auto Club can provide roadside assistance. They will tow your vehicle from the breakdown location to the nearest TD service center or nearest garage within a 20-kilometre distance.
In the event that you are unable to reach TD Auto Club or if they are unable to arrange service, you can choose your own preferred facility to service your vehicle. You are eligible to submit a claim for reimbursement of up to $50 per call and must follow the proper process to ensure your claim is approved. TD Auto Club will make the final determination on whether or not your expenses are eligible for reimbursement.
Please be aware that the storage fee is not included in the coverage. The towing cost will only cover the transportation of your broken-down vehicle from the event site to the nearest repair service center. Additionally, for Motor Homes weighing more than 8,000 lb/3,600 kg, only a maximum reimbursement cost of $50 will be provided.
3. Winching Services
If your vehicle gets stuck in snow or a ditch but can still move once it’s pulled out, TD Auto Club will cover the cost of the winching service. To make a claim, your vehicle must be within 20 kilometres of a Service Facility and located on or next to a regularly traveled road.
Please note that winching services do not apply on vehicles that couldn’t proceed on their power due to extra damages or the cost incurred to tow the vehicle to gain access out of a driveway/laneway covered with snow.
You also have the option to choose reimbursement if you are unable to get in touch with TD Auto Club or if they cannot secure the requested service for any reason. This will allow you to contact a different service provider of your choice.
Choose a service provider of your choice and submit a claim afterward, and you might stand to get reimbursement of up to $50 per call, which will finally be determined by TD Auto Club.
The Winching Services Disclaimer says that TD Auto Club and the Service Facility will not pay for any damage to your car that happens during the winching service. They will try their best to keep your car safe, but it is up to you if something gets damaged. The disclaimer does not cover it.
